Using the service

PictureToolbox provides free image and PDF tools that run in your web browser. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

Your files stay yours

You keep all rights to the images, documents and other files you process. The tools run on your device, and we do not upload, view, copy or store your files. We claim no license to them.

You are responsible for having the right to use, convert and share the files you process.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the tools to process or create material that is illegal where you live, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• attempt to disrupt, overload or break the site, or bypass any technical limit;
• scrape the site at a rate that harms its availability, or resell access to the tools as your own service;
• copy the site's text, design or illustrations and present them as your own.

Provided as is

The tools are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Conversion and compression can change a file. Results depend on your browser and device, and some formats may not be supported everywhere.

Keep a copy of your original files. We cannot recover anything you lose or overwrite.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, PictureToolbox is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or your inability to use it. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and some places do not allow the limits above, so they may not apply to you.

Advertising and third-party services

The site is supported by advertising and uses third-party services such as Google AdSense and Cloudflare. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for the content of advertisers or linked sites. See the privacy policy for details.

Open-source components

The site includes open-source software under permissive licenses, and their notices ship with the code. These terms do not restrict your rights under those licenses.

Our content

The site's text, design, illustrations and brand name belong to PictureToolbox, except for open-source components. You may link to any page.

Changes and termination

We may change, suspend or remove any tool, or stop the service, at any time. We may also update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are interpreted under the law that applies to you, and any dispute will be handled by the courts that have jurisdiction under that law. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
