How to convert SVG to JPG
- Add your SVG filesChoose .svg files or drop them on the box. Each file can be up to 5 MB.
- Set size, quality and backgroundLeave width empty to use the size inside the SVG, or type a width in pixels. Scale 1x to 4x multiplies it. Quality starts at 90, and the background starts as white.
- Download the JPG filesPress Download on a row, or use Download all (ZIP). The row shows the final pixel size. If you change a setting, convert again to rebuild the results.
Why convert an SVG to JPG?
An SVG describes a picture with shapes and curves, so it scales without blurring. Many places still want a plain photo-style file: upload forms, e-mail, older document editors, print shops and some content systems accept JPG but reject SVG.
JPG cannot store transparency, so this converter paints the SVG on a solid background first. White is the default. Pick black, gray or any custom color if the image will sit on a different page color. Because the source is vector art, you choose the output size when you convert, and a larger render stays sharp.

Choosing resolution and quality
The default size is the size written in the SVG file. If the file only has a viewBox, that is used, and if it has neither, the converter falls back to 1024 by 1024 pixels. Typing a width keeps the proportions, and the height follows automatically.
Scale multiplies the width, so a 200 pixel icon at 4x becomes 800 pixels. Widths from 16 to 8192 pixels are accepted, and very large results are reduced to fit what your device can handle. As a rule, pick the size where the image will be shown, then double it for high-density screens.
Quality runs from 1 to 100. The default of 90 is a good balance for illustrations and photos embedded in SVG. Flat logos and thin text show small halos around edges when quality drops below about 70, so keep it high for those. If you need crisp edges and a transparent background, use SVG to PNG instead.
What does not render in an SVG
SVG files can contain scripts and links to outside resources. Before drawing, the converter removes scripts, event handlers and external references, and the picture is rendered through a plain image element that cannot run code. Linked images, fonts and style sheets are therefore left out, and the row says so if any were found. Pictures embedded as data inside the SVG work normally.
Text is the most common surprise. If an SVG uses a font that is not installed on your computer, the browser substitutes another one and the lettering changes. Convert text to outlines in your vector editor before exporting for a faithful result.
- Transparent areas become the background color, white by default.
- Semi-transparent shapes, gradients, masks and filters are drawn by the browser, then blended with the background.
- Everything stays on your device, with no upload.
Questions
How do I convert an SVG to JPG?
Add the SVG file to this page, choose a width or scale if you want a specific size, adjust quality and download the JPG.
Is JPG the same as JPEG?
Yes. They are the same format. The shorter .jpg extension exists because older systems limited extensions to three letters, so SVG to JPG and SVG to JPEG give the same file.
What happens to a transparent SVG background?
JPG cannot be transparent, so transparent areas are filled with a background color. It is white by default, and you can choose black, gray or a custom color.
Which quality should I use?
Start with 90. Lower it toward 75 for smaller files, and avoid going below about 70 for logos and text, where artifacts show first.
Why are the fonts or images missing in my JPG?
Fonts and images that the SVG links from outside the file are not loaded, for safety. Convert text to outlines and embed images in the SVG, then convert again.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The SVG is rendered and saved as JPG in your browser.
